Jane Salvage

Jane Salvage is well known in the UK and international health circles as a nurse leader, policy activist, writer and passionate advocate of supporting health workers to develop their skills.

Her experience includes spells as editor of Nursing Times, World Health Organization Europe nurse advisor, visiting professor at the Florence Nightingale School in London, and policy advisor to the UK All-Party Parliamentary Group on Global Health. She is a registered nurse and has a Cambridge English degree, a master’s degree in medical sociology, and two honorary doctorates.

Jane keeps working at managing her own stress, a lifelong learning process. She has written widely about the importance of self-awareness and stress-busting for people working in healthcare. She also teaches stress management, currently in her role as an associate of the UK company GateHouse.
